Generation Unleashed is a youth ministry for ages 12 to 24. We currently have 3 campuses that meet weekly on Wednesdays at 7:00pm (Mill Plain Campus, Rocky Butte Campus and 217 Campus) for Jr. High and High School, while our young adults meet weekly on Friday at 7:30pm on the Pearl Campus. This is a time set aside for fellowship and amazing worship from our GU band as well as challenging words from our youth pastors here at City Bible Church. Our heart is to draw youth into the presence of God and to show them how to develop and strengthen their personal relationship with God.
GU 222 Groups
222 groups are age distinctive small groups for Jr. High (6th-8th grade), High School (9th-12th grade), and College age young adults (18-24 years old). We have 222 groups that meet outside our church services on a regular basis with a goal to build relationships, strengthen people, and release young people to be who God has called them to be. It is our heart that every young person would get connected in a 222 group.
GU Jr. High
The Jr. High Ministry of Generation Unleashed reaches kids from grades 6-8 or ages 12-14. One of the major aspects of the Jr. High Ministry is the weekend tracks. These take place after worship at our 5:00 Saturday night and 11:00 Sunday morning services. This is a time used to teach basic biblical principles while making it applicable to their lives and easy to understand. Another key aspect includes our Jr. High 222 groups, which meet every Wednesday night on Mill Plain, 217 and Rocky Butte Campuses at 5:30pm before our Wednesday night GU youth service.
GU High School
Every Wednesday night High School students along with Jr. High and Young Adults gather together for a special service just for them. We begin the night with pre-service prayer on each of our campuses beginning at 6:00pm, at 6:30pm we have food and drinks available as well as ping pong tables, foose ball tables and more-we believe in building relationships and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Our service is from 7:00pm to 8:30pm with worship from our GU bands and a message from our youth pastors. We also have monthly high school specific parties.
Young Adults
Every Friday night at 7:30pm our young adults (18-24) gather together at our Pearl Campus for a special service. With a blend of acoustic worship, a relevant word each week from Pastor Poncho and an open café before and after the service, this is the perfect place to invite some friends and come hang out. We also have small groups happening every week before the service at 7:00pm. If you’d like to be connected to other young adults, simply show up and we’ll find a place right for you.
Generation Interns
GU interns is a one year program that is strategically raising up the next generation of servant-leaders in the local church through hands on ministry opportunities and local outreach. It is an intensive program designed to instill biblical Christian principles, build character, and refine gifting.
