What should I expect when I come?
Church should be a fun, inspirational place where you can connect with God. At CBC you'll experience

friendly people, great music, encouraging talks and an inspirational atmosphere where life happens.
Visiting a new place for the first time can bring with it a variety of questions. It seems like such a big place, will I feel lost? What should I wear? What should I expect once I’m there? What’s available for my kids? How do I get there? Where do I park? We hope we can help answer some of your questions…
We’re a big church, but we guarantee it will feel small.
We understand that it can be intimidating to walk into a big building that you’ve never been to before. We also have four different campuses, one in northeast Portland, one in Tigard, one in Vancouver and one in the Pearl District. However we guarantee that the first face you’ll see at any of the campuses will have a smile on it. People love to come to CBC. Whether you’re looking for childcare or a latte, you’ll find a greeter nearby to help you get to where you need to go.

The only question is will your kids have more fun than you will?
We know that whether you have infants or older children you need a safe place for them to learn. We also know that your kids want to have lots of fun. You’ll find that our nurseries and children’s classrooms are a safe and fun place for them to learn. Our children’s pastors and the hundreds of volunteers who work in our children’s ministry are committed to providing a safe and fun place for your kids. We really do want to be a support and an encouragement to your family!
You’ll walk out feeling different than when you walked in.
The beautiful thing about Jesus is that He never leaves us the same. Having spent time in the presence of the Lord you will feel different. At CBC you’ll enjoy great music and practical, down-to-earth messages that will impact your life. Church really ought to be fun and life changing.
But how do I get there?
We have four campuses. If you’re coming to visit us, decide which campus is more convenient for you, what time works best and even what language you would prefer (we have services in Spanish, Laotian, Burmese and Sudanese, and offer translation in Russian, Japanese and Laotian during our English services). Please click on the campus below for directions.
We understand that life is busy and sometimes complicated. Church shouldn’t be.
Church ought to be an enjoyable experience, a place that’s easy to get to and a place where we can all pause to experience God, enjoy each other and celebrate life. If you’ve never been to church, or it’s been a while, we hope that we’ve been able to answer some of your questions. We encourage you to join us for church so that you can find a place where you can see how much God really has in store for you. If you have any questions please don't hesitiate to contact us.
