Small Groups
Each
one of us has a different idea of how life and church should be. What
makes for a positive experience of church? Is church something you
attend or something you become a part of? Over the centuries church has
been defined in many different ways. However, taking a closer look at
the early church that came to life in the book of Acts we are provided
with an inside look into what church truly ought to be.

When
we look at the book of Acts we see a church that didn't just meet
together for corporate celebration but met together in homes throughout
the community. Acts 2:42 tells us that the church devoted themselves
not just to the principles and practices of Christian living, but to
fellowship. Literally, they partnered together in life, encouraging and
supporting each other, enjoying life together, meeting each other's
needs, and figuring out life's challenges together.
As a result
of this combination of devoting themselves to the teaching of the
Apostles, corporate worship and fellowship they developed an
unquenchable passion for the Lord that led to more people coming to
know the love, power and forgiveness of Jesus.
It's this picture
of church that we desire to pursue. We want to be a people who are
radically devoted to Jesus and relentlessly loving one another. We
desire to be a people whose hearts burn to share the gospel and see the
glory of God transforming human lives. Our Small Groups play an
important part in our desire to become the church we read about in the
book of Acts.
