Randy and Luisina Mishler
Randy grew up a missionary kid in Navojoa, Mexico. With dreams of being a pilot, and no desire to become a missionary, he completed the professional pilot training program at Hesston College in Kansas in 1989. But during his first few years as a flight instructor, he felt the call of God to full-time youth ministry. It wasn’t until 1995 that he felt the Lord speaking to him about being a missionary in Latin America. He enrolled in Portland Bible college shortly thereafter.
Luisina was born and raised in Ecuador, and when she was eight years old, her entire family became Christians. It was then that her father prayed and committed to the Lord that their family would be a missionary family. Lui came to Portland in 1996 to continue her training in church music ministry. It was there she met Randy, sparks flew, and they married in 1999.
After spending 5 years on staff as young adults pastors in City Bible Church, they were sent out to Mexico for two years where they ministered at Fuente para el Mundo in Puebla.
In the summer of 2007 they returned to Portland where they are currently based. They continue as full-time missionaries with the mission of strengthening churches, equipping leaders, and mobilizing missionaries – from Latin America to the nations. They desire to see strong local churches in Latin America send laborers to the least reached peoples of the earth, that Christ’s name might be know and worshipped among all peoples.
Randy and Lui have three beautiful children; Sofia, Nico, and Max.
“Like a bullet or a missile in the hands of God will you be. You will go out and strike a deadly blow for deliverance will be in your hand. But just as the accuracy and the impact of a missile is affected by its relationship with the launch pad, so your accuracy and impact will be directly related to your relationship with the church from which you go and come”.(Prophetic word over Randy in 1990)
