Rob
and Susan Kaylor have been missionaries in Japan for nearly 25 years.
After working under several Japanese pastors, they began working with
Rob’s parents who pioneered and have pastored Ariake Bible Church since
1987. In 1999 Rob and Susan became the senior pastors of Ariake Bible
Church. Their vision is to see a strong, healthy local church raised up
in Arao that will impact the surrounding region, and reach out to the
whole island of Kyushu and beyond to the world. They work closely with
other local Japanese pastors to strengthen and build the churches
throughout Kyushu and Japan.
Rob
Born and raised
in Japan as the son of missionaries Leo and Phyllis Kaylor. While still
a teenager he received a very specific calling to minister in Japan.
After completing high school by homeschooling, he attended Portland
Bible College and then returned to Japan with his wife Susan.
Susan
Born
in Mathis, Texas, she was raised in a pastor’s home. Susan’s parents,
Weldon and Lorene Martin, were involved in home missions reaching out
to Hispanics. She felt a strong call to missions and after high school
she attended Portland Bible College. Although her original impression
was to be a missionary in Africa like her aunt, God uniquely knit
Susan’s heart with Rob’s, and together they united their vision to
minister in Japan.
