Small Group Q&A

We understand that you might have some questions about small groups. You've got questions, hopefully we have some answers.

Q: How do I find the right Small Group?
A: Click here to launch the online small group directory. You will be able to search based on your interest, your schedule or your location and find the perfect group that fits your schedule and interest. Then simply call or email the small group leader, they'll take it from there. Ask your friends, a district pastor or email the small group coordinator for a recommendation.

Q: When do small groups meet?
A: All the time. Many of the groups meet on Sunday afternoon or evening. However as you thumb through the directory you'll find groups meet throughout the week.

Q: Is there a small group in my neighborhood?
A: Probably. Small groups meet throughout the metro area, from Starbucks to living rooms to soccer fields. The print directory is laid out in such a way to help you find a group in your area, you can also search by area in our online version.

Q: Can I attend more than one small group?
A: Absolutely! The goal of our small groups is to help you find relationships were you find support and encouragement. The more the merrier.

Q: How long do small groups last?
A: Once you find a group of people you love to be with, you hope it will never end. That's what happens with many of our small groups. We also have small groups that focus on a particular subject, cirrculum or teaching series for a six to eight week period.

Q: Can I change small groups?
A: We want to make sure that the small group fits you and you fit the small group. Sometimes that takes time and we need to be patient with the process. You may feel like the Lord is directing you to another group, or your going through a season that another small group could help with. We understand that and would encourage you to find where you fit.

Q: How will I receive pastoral care?
A: Small groups provide the bulk of pastoral care here at CBC. Every small group is part of a pastoral care network, or district, that is designed to provide you with all the care, support and counseling you need, regardless of seemingly insignificant or difficult your circumstance might be. Click here to meet the pastoral team at CBC.

Q: If I wanted to start a small group, how would I do that?
A: Great question. God might very well want you to become a community builder here at CBC. It's really pretty simple, you can contact your district pastor, or sign up for the next small group leaders training workshop.
