CBC began on a cold evening in the spring of 1951. Thirteen people huddled around a pot belly stove and dared to dream of a church, a community, where people could experience God and celebrate the life he came to give everyone of us… something sparked in their hearts that has continued to this day. Today, CBC is a thriving multi-campus church in the Portland/Vancouver metro area committed to helping people become fully devoted followers of Christ.

We’re a people committed to taking responsibility to care for others, to sharing the incredible relationship we have with Jesus with the world around us, and to contributing with our lives toward the cause of Christ and his church. The church we see is not peripheral to the world, its Christ’s body through which he acts, speaks and fills everything with His presence.
