Men's Bible Study


Our goal is to build up and encourage the men of CBC to be great husbands, fathers, workers, and Christians.  One of our main ways of accomplishing this goal is through our Men's Bible Studies that happen throughout the year. These Bible studies are groups of men who come together to build relationships and learn more about the Bible through a video curriculum by world-renowned authors and speakers such as John Bevere and Andy Stanley.

In Drawing Near, John Bevere urges you not to settle for the dry shadow of Christianity that knows about God without knowing God. Often we feel God is distant, but Bevere says the cause is not God, but ourselves. Our focus on possessions, entertainment, and feel-good worship form barriers to Him. But when we open our lives to Him in humility and obedience, He fills us with His Holy Spirit and reveals Himself to us. Drawing Near invites you to explore a life of intimacy with God by emphasizing:


  • Obedience to God - knowing there is a strong need for this at all times
  • Communication with the Holy Spirit - understanding that prayer is a dialog, not a monologue
  • Motivations – desiring God’s heart more than His blessings

    • The spring session is Wednesdays, February 10 - May 5.
