J and C (full names withheld for security reasons) and their children
are overseas workers in SE Asia. They had both wanted to serve overseas
even before meeting each other at Portland Bible College in 1996, and
both of them are thrilled to be doing their hearts’ desire together.
J
grew up in Mexico, where his parents have ministered for over two
decades. He came to PBC in 1995 to study, earning a B.A. in Theology in
1999. C grew up in eastern Oregon. She came to PBC in 1996, completing
her B.A. in Theology in 2000 a year after they were married.
After
getting married, J and C decided God had led them not only to PBC for a
short time but to City Bible Church as their home. They took the
membership classes and became very involved in the youth and ethnic
ministry districts.
In June 2006, they and their children
moved to SE Asia to work at a relief and development agency. Currently
they serve as team leaders at the main language centre for the
organization, as well as being involved in outreach and discipleship
activities in several different arenas.
